Owing to the present situation, the University has planned to base their entire evaluation for all the students on project submission and viva.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>National Law University, Delhi<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take-home examination is scheduled for the students in their terminal semester.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the students in their intermediate semesters, the university plans to organize offline examinations in August, however, an alternate scheme has been provided in case the offline exams are not possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/NLU-Delhi.pdf\">NLU Delhi<\/a><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIPU<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If lockdown is lifted, then exams for final year students will be held from 20 June. If lockdown persists until July, then online exams to be held for both theory and practicals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For students in their intermediate semesters, exams are scheduled to be held in July. If lockdown persists till\u00a0 then, then students will be evaluated based on present semester&#8217;s internals and previous semester&#8217;s externals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheduled date for reopening of the next semester is 3rd August. The Administration has directed students to take up online mode of internships and if not possible, take part in online courses. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences:<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">1. Online exams have been already conducted for students in their final semester. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">2. All the students currently in their Fifth Year of the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Programme, who were originally allowed to appear for any examination along with the End-Semester Examination of junior batches for Winter Semester 2019-2020 or required under the Academic and Examination Regulations 2012 to appear for the repeat examination for any course along with the Winter Semester 2019-20 Repeat Examination, would also get their scores for the concerned subjected calculated i<\/span><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">n accordance with the formula outlined in the preceding paragraphs. They would, however, have to submit internal components for the respective courses (for the purpose of calculating their score out of the 50 marks referred to in Paragraph (2) hereinabove). To such end, they are requested to contact the Academic Section and\/or the concerned faculty member for assignment of project topic etc., if they have not done so already.\u00a0\u00a0<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">For the students in their intermediate semester:<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">1. Marks shall be assigned to students on the basis of a combination of 50% for Internal Components and 50% to be assigned on the basis of the average percentage of marks obtained by the student in all the courses up to Monsoon Semester 2019 for which results have been declared so far. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">2. In addition to this, all the students would be provided with the opportunity to sit for an improvement examination for each of the papers, once the University reopens and offline examinations can again be conducted alongwith the Regular examinations.. In case a student does opt for such an examination for any course and gets their marks and grades replaced with that secured via such improvement examination, then the concerned student\u2019s transcript would not reflect any \u2018I\u2019 indicator besides such marks\/grades secured. This would ensure that any student whose interests might have been adversely affected by such substitute evaluation methodology gets an opportunity to improve upon their existing score thus calculated. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, times new roman, serif; font-size: large;\">3. In accordance with the UGC Guidelines, all registered students shall be provisionally promoted to the next class for the current Academic Year assuming all have attended their all classes during the closing of the university due to COVID-19, subject to 2012 B.A.LL.B. Regulation. This provision shall however not apply to students who failed to register for their batch after being detained or who failed to attend any class in the Winter Semester 2019-2020 or who were debarred in more than two subjects on account of lack of attendance in the Monsoon semester 2019-2020. 4. Students who have more than two backlogs from Monsoon Semester 2019-2020 or shall fail to pass more than two subjects after allotment of marks in accordance with the formula outlined in Paragraphs (1) to (3) above in the Winter Semester 2019-2020, shall be required to write special assignments in the concerned subjects.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-family: garamond, 'times new roman', serif; font-size: large; text-align: left;\">The University is scheduled to reopen on 1st July 2020.<\/span><\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Symbiosis International University | Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University has notified that all the students will be evaluated on the pro rata basis of their internal marks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University is scheduled to open in the first week of July.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>GGSIPU Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The proposed course of action for conduct of examination for final year students is if lockdown is lifted, then exams will be held from 20 June. If lockdown persists until July 20, then online assessment of dissertation through viva voce would be done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For students in their intermediate semesters exams are scheduled to be held in July.If the lockdown persists till 20th July, the students will be evaluated on the basis of their score of internal examination in this semester and previous semester score.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheduled date for reopening of the next semester is 3rd August.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/GGSIPU-VIPS.pdf\">GGSIPU VIPS<\/a><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>\u00a0Government Law College Mumbai<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the announcement by Mumbai University, the semester exams for final year students will be conducted between July 1 and 30. Final decision will be taken around June 20 considering prevailing covid-19 situations. The college is yet to make an official Statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exams have been cancelled for all the intermediate semesters and evaluation will be done according to the UCG guidelines i.e. 50% marks based on this semester internal assessment and 50% based on last semester exam performance. The same was notified in the notice dated 18th May, 2020 by Mumbai University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Gujarat National Law University<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evaluation for terminal semester students would include marks secured in mid semester exams and internal evaluation. To this, marks for end semester exams will be added which will be calculated on the basis of percentage secured in the previous semester or the average of percentage secured in all the previous semesters, whichever is higher.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[For example- if the percentage in the previous semester were 75 and average percentage in all the previous semesters is 74, then 75 will be used as a basis for calculating marks out of 40 or 50, depending the total marks for the respective end semester exams.]<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marks for end semester exams for intermediate semesters will be calculated on the basis of percentage of previous semester or the average of all the previous semesters, whichever is higher.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PG students have been exempted from requirements of conference participation, research publication, submission of mid term report and observation\/learning of teaching practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All students have been provided with deemed attendance for the period of lockdown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, an opportunity for improving the marks will be provided in the coming semester and as per the UGC recommendations, carry forward of backlog papers will also be allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To boil it down, the University has treaded on the recommendations of the UGC.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Institute of Law, Nirma University<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University has conducted exams for final year students through online mode. The University has further decided not to conduct semester end examinations for students of intermediate semesters. According to the recent notification, 80% weightage would be given to the mid semester examination including practical component and rest 20% weightage would be of equivalent percentage of marks of overall CGPA of immediate preceding semester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University hasn\u2019t notified any specific date of reopening. However, regular classes will start from July through online mode.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/NIRMA-ILNU.pdf\">NIRMA ILNU<\/a><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirapalli<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university has called off examinations for terminal year students. Out of 100 marks, the first 50 marks will include Continuous Internal Assessment mechanism (part of which has already been completed and the rest is underway).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the remaining 50 marks, the students have been directed to submit one research paper in each course, which shall be evaluated for 30 marks and 20 marks for viva voce. These will be submitted in two phases: 1st phase of submission is to be on 30th June and 2nd submission on 7th July. The Results will be announced on 21st July.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For students of intermediate semesters, the university has decided not to conduct online<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">examinations. Out of 100, for the first 50 marks for Continuous Internal Assessment (part of which has already been completed and the rest is underway). For the remaining 50 marks, examinations will be conducted once the University reopens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tentative dates for reopening have been set at 17th August 2020. Additionally, the online classes for the new semester will tentatively begin on 1st August 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Tamil-Nadu-National-Law-University-Mail-Examination-and-academic-schedule-Ujjwal-Jain.pdf\">Tamil Nadu National Law University Mail &#8211; Examination and academic schedule &#8211; Ujjwal Jain<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>\u00a0National law University and judicial academy Assam<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University is planning to conduct offline examinations for students of the terminal semester after the reopening of college. Offline exams of 70 marks have been scheduled for students of intermediate semesters and the tentative dates are 17 th to 24 th August. For students of LLM and Phd, exams have been scheduled in the second week of July.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheduled date for reopening is 1st August.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The University has decided to conduct offline exams commencing in the second week of August to meet the end semester examination requirements, further the internal examinations were conducted through online submissions. Final year students met their evaluation and submission criterias through online means. For LLM students, exams are scheduled to commence from July 15th.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The University is scheduled to open in August.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>\u00a0Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University has decided to conduct open book examinations for LLM and final year LLB students from 1st July ensuring compliances with UGC guidelines . The university has also decided to conduct physical examinations for students who are unable to appear due to connectivity issues or other related issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University is scheduled to reopen from July 16, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evaluation of the students of the final semester and L.L.M. will be based on their Internal Assessment (50 marks) and End-Semester Examinations (50 marks), which will be conducted open book by both online (July 1st-15th, 2020) as well as offline (July 16th-31st, 2020). The online examinations shall be preceded by a mock test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evaluation of all intermediate semester students will be based on their Internal Assessment (30 marks) and End-Semester Examinations (70 marks), which will be conducted offline from August 7th-14th, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad (MNLUA)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University is scheduled to reopen from August 1, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the lectures for the next semester shall be conducted from July 1, 2020, in an online mode.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Faculty of law,Lucknow University\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university has decided to conduct exams between 28th July to 15\u00a0 August (tentatively).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jmi.ac.in\"><b>www.jmi.ac.in<\/b><\/a><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The semester exams of all the batches were conducted through online assessments between May 16th to June 5th. The assessment included 1 Question from each unit (5 Units in total for each subject), and the students were given a period of 10 days per subject to complete the assessment with a minimum word limit of 1500 words per subject in most cases. The 10 day period overlapped with different subjects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exams of final semester students will be held on a later date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ex-students were allowed to appear for examinations through the above-mentioned assessment procedure while strictly maintaining the guidelines set by the Controller of Examination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back papers of currently enrolled students will be conducted on a later date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university will start the next session from the month of August\/September subject to COVID-19. Additionally, the University has planned to conduct its National Moot Court Competition Online.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The VC and the faculty members of the university deliberated upon the subject and concluded that conducting a physical exam is not feasible before July\/August 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the scaling up\/ aggregating model, the faculty concluded that the internal components of the semester of January-April 2020, to be scaled up to 100 marks will be truly reflective of the performance of the current papers than mixing and averaging last semester papers. Additionally, with 100% students attempting the midterm exam and by submission of projects will have maximum passing percentage. This unanimous decision of the faculty was placed before the Academic Council of HNLU by way of an e-mail resolution and a majority have endorsed this as a fair and equitable solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university has released the detailed rules and schemes with respect to Examination and promotion of students ( B.A.\/B.B.A. LLB courses, Academic year 2019-20). The university has called off the examinations and according to the rules, students would be promoted based on the combination of average percentage secured in previous semester\/semesters and marks secured in Internal Assessment(assignment and presentation).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The students are also advised to prepare their assignments and submit the same latest by 23 June, 2020. The presentation\/ viva of the same shall be conducted between 24-30 June, 2020.\u00a0 Also, the students are required to fill an online examination form(Google Form) latest by 20 June, 2020 failing
