{"id":229102,"date":"2020-05-05T13:30:48","date_gmt":"2020-05-05T08:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=229102"},"modified":"2020-05-05T13:12:18","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T07:42:18","slug":"covid-19-ph-hc-ensure-that-judicial-proceedings-are-conducted-with-taken-courtesies-protocol-while-appearing-through-video-conferencing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2020\/05\/05\/covid-19-ph-hc-ensure-that-judicial-proceedings-are-conducted-with-taken-courtesies-protocol-while-appearing-through-video-conferencing\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 | P&#038;H HC | Ensure that judicial proceedings are conducted with taken courtesies &#038; protocol while appearing through video-conferencing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Keeping in View the prevailing situation due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID\u201419) and after considering the prevailing situation in the States of Punjab, Haryana and specifically UT Chandigarh Where the unique conditions of lockdown\/Curfew and the Containment Zone continues and with a view to ensure the safety of the Judges, Advocates, Staff and litigants; the Administrative Committee has resolved that w.e.f. 04.05.2020, an arrangement shall be put into operation on experimental basis, till further orders, on the court working days of the High Court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"layoutArea\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"column\">\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">Only urgent matters to be entertained.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<ul>\n<li>Mentioning of urgent matter to be made on High Court website from 8.30 am to 10 a.m. on the court working day.<\/li>\n<li>Once mentioning request has been declined no further mentioning request in the same matter by the same advocate of party shall be entertained during the aforesaid period.<\/li>\n<li>Hearing to be conducted through Video Conferencing.<\/li>\n<li>The concerned Advocate\/Litigant shall ensure that the Room from where he\/she intends to appear before the Court through Video conferencing or Video call is free from all source of disturbances like external noises, poor lighting, improper acoustics. It shall be ensured that judicial proceedings are conducted with taken courtesies and protocol as are being observed during judicial proceedings in the Court.
