Bombay High Court:\u00a0<\/strong>A.A. Sayed, J. while addressing a petition held that, the circular issued by municipal corporation of Mumbai does not prevent the ‘burial’ of a dead body of any minority community person afflicted with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Petitioner’s who are of a minority community have challenged a Circular issued by respondents with regard to disposal of dead bodies of the COVID-19 patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bench stated that the Circular does not prevent the ‘burial’ of the dead body of any minority community person afflicted with COVID-19 as sought to be suggested by the petitioner’s counsel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adding to the above, there has been no mention of any instance with regard to dead body of any minority community person being afflicted with COVID-19 has been cremated instead of being buried.<\/p>\n
