The last decade has witnessed extreme environmental degradation\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0form\u00a0of\u00a0Forest\u00a0fires,\u00a0ocean acidification,\u00a0loss\u00a0of\u00a0biodiversity,\u00a0melting\u00a0of Polar Ice Caps and a lot more. This raises serious concerns over existing facets of Environmental and Legal Jurisprudence, whether the same is sufficient to sustain Nature for generations to\u00a0come?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this objective in mind, the Centre for Environment and Disaster Management of Himachal\u00a0Pradesh\u00a0National\u00a0Law\u00a0University, Shimla, is organising a one-day Student Conclave \u2013 the Himachal Pradesh National Law University Environment Conclave, to bring together several eminent personalities in the field of Environmental Law to give valuable insights to the young students who will put forth different perspectives and pertinent questions relating to contemporary issues in Environmental\u00a0Law.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Theme:<\/b>\u00a0The\u00a0nucleus\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0theme\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0conclave\u00a0are\u00a0the\u00a017\u00a0Sustainable\u00a0Development\u00a0Goals\u00a0(SDGs),\u00a0concerning Environment, which lie at the heart of\u00a0The\u00a02030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in\u00a02015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Who may participate:<\/b>\u00a0HPNLU Environment Conclave is primarily a student Conclave and participation is invited from students\u00a0enrolled\u00a0bona-fide\u00a0in\u00a0an\u00a0undergraduate\/postgraduate,\u00a0or\u00a0doctoral\u00a0courses\u00a0in\u00a0any\u00a0any\u00a0recognized Institution in\u00a0India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Publication:<\/b>\u00a0Research\u00a0Papers\u00a0received\u00a0form\u00a0acclaimed\u00a0Scholars\u00a0working\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0filed\u00a0of\u00a0Environmental\u00a0Law\u00a0(National\/\u00a0International)\u00a0along-with\u00a0selected\u00a0research\u00a0papers\u00a0received\u00a0for\u00a0HPNLU\u00a0Conclave\u00a0shall\u00a0be\u00a0compiled\u00a0in\u00a0the form\u00a0of\u00a0an\u00a0edited-book\u00a0(with\u00a0ISBN\u00a0Number)\u00a0and\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0released\u00a0on\u00a05th\u00a0June\u00a02020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><b>Submission Guidelines:<\/b>\u00a0The Work should be original and must not be previously published \/ under consideration for publication elsewhere.
