Allahabad High Court:\u00a0<\/strong>A Division Bench of Govind Mathur, CJ and Ramesh Sinha, J., addressed a petition filed by an Advocate with regard to ensuring the precautionary steps to be taken to prevent COVID-19 in the premises of Allahabad High Court as well as at Lucknow.<\/p>\n

The present PIL was filed by a Practicing Advocate seeking direction for instituting a High-Level Committee of experts for the purpose of prevention of COVID-19 in the premises of the above-stated Court.<\/p>\n

Large number of people visit the Court premises on an everyday basis and there might be people who would be affected by \u00a0CORONAVIRUS. In view of the stated, precautionary steps are to be taken in order to identify such persons affected by the same and to pause the spread of the same into becoming a worldwide epidemic.<\/p>\n

Chief Medical Officer, Prayagraj had taken some precautionary steps but on perusal of the same, they do not seem\u00a0to be effective.<\/p>\n

State of U.P. had also taken certain measures for the stated concern. Court has asked for a compliance report for the same at the earliest.<\/p>\n

Further, the Court directed the Registrar General to take necessary steps in consonance to the policy of State Government including the installation of Infrared Thermal Scan Device. High Court administration has also been asked to ensure zero error cleanliness on the campus.<\/p>\n
