The following Act of Parliament, after having been ratified by the Legislatures of not less than one-half of the States by resolutions to that effect, received the assent of the President on the 21st January, 2020.<\/p>\n

The Constitution (One Hundred and Fourth Amendment) Act, 2019<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

This Act shall come into force on 25-01-2020<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Amendment of Article 334<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In Article 334 of the Constitution,\u2014<\/p>\n

(a) for the marginal heading, the following marginal heading shall be substituted, namely:\u2014<\/p>\n

\u201cReservation of seats and special representation to cease after certain period\u201d;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
\n
\n

(b) in the long line, after clauses (a) and (b), for the words “seventy years”, the words “eighty years in respect of clause (a) and seventy years in respect of clause (b)” shall be substituted.<\/p>\n
