Allahabad<\/strong> High Court: <\/strong>A Division Bench of Govind Mathur, CJ. and Vivek Varma, J. passed an order hearing a petition filed by Mohd. Aman Khan.<\/p>\n

The present petition was filed regarding the peaceful protests conducted by the students of Aligarh Muslim University against the Citizenship Law. Wherein, the police after some time started firing tear gas shells, rubber bullets and pellets at the students. The police also charged \u2018lathi\u2019 against the students.<\/p>\n

By way of this petition, the request was made to appoint a \u2018Court Monitored Committee\u2019 to inquire into the violent acts of the police and the arbitrary arrests of students. It further asked for medical treatment and compensation for all those injured in the violence.<\/p>\n

Counsel for the petitioner, Maha Prasad, submitted that no adequate medical assistance had been given to the students and the entire student community was fearful due to the existing circumstances.<\/p>\n

The Court directed the Uttar Pradesh Government and AMU administration to file its replies on the plea about baton charge, tear gas shells, rubber bullets and pellets used against the students. It further directed the District Magistrate, Aligarh, to ensure all necessary medical assistance and aid is given to those injured in the violence. \u00a0[Mohd. Aman Khan v.
