Dr. RMLNLU was established in the year 2005, and since then, has been providing undergraduate and post-graduate legal education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the Journal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The RMLNLU Law Journal on Communications, Media, Entertainment &amp; Technology (hereinafter \u2018the Journal\u2019) is an annual, student-edited, peer-reviewed law journal published by the Journal Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. Through this, the committee aims to foster the spirit of writing and set in motion a discourse among knowledgeable intellectuals from various fields of law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Journal Committee is pleased to announce the call for papers for\u00a0<strong><em>The RMLNLU Law Journal on Communications, Media, Entertainment &amp; Technology,<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<strong>Volume VII.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Call for Papers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Journal accepts submissions from law students, academicians and legal professionals all over the country and abroad in the form of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Articles: 5000-7000 words. (These are evaluations of specific contemporary issues and aim at conceptualizing the issues in a unique and unconventional manner. The assessment of contemporary issues shall be appreciated, though not mandatory).<\/li>\n<li>Case notes\/comments: 2000-3000 words. (These are assessments of the aim and legal impact of contemporary judgments and legislations).<\/li>\n<li>Book Reviews: 2000-3000 words. (Entries submitted under this category may present innovative evaluations of present literature).<\/li>\n<li>Essays: 4000-5000 words.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The submissions may be on any contemporary legal issue connected with media law and its allied fields of communications, entertainment and technology. The authors are expected to adhere to the prescribed word limit as indicated above.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> The prescribed word limits exclude Abstract, whose word limit has been prescribed in the guidelines that follow, and footnotes, wherein speaking footnotes must be avoided wherever possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each of these entries shall be required to conform to the set of guidelines that follow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The formatting shall be as per the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Content:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Font \u2013 Times New Roman<\/li>\n<li>Font size \u2013 12 pts.<\/li>\n<li>Line spacing \u2013 1.5<\/li>\n<li>Margin \u2013 1\u201d from all sides<\/li>\n<li>Alignment: Justified<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Footnotes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Font \u2013 Times New Roman<\/li>\n<li>Font size \u2013 10 pts.<\/li>\n<li>Line Spacing \u2013 1.0<\/li>\n<li>Alignment: Justified<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All the sources in the footnotes must be properly cited strictly in accordance with the latest OSCOLA (4th edition) format. No endnotes or speaking footnotes (descriptive footnotes) are allowed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>General Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>An abstract of about 250-300 words and 5 keywords should be mandatorily included in the same word document as a part of the submission.<\/li>\n<li>The title should be Bold, Underlined, in Capitals, Size 16, and Centre Aligned.<\/li>\n<li>Headings should be Bold, in Capitals, Size 14, and left aligned.<\/li>\n<li>The contents should in no way, directly or indirectly, indicate or reference the identity of the author(s).<\/li>\n<li>The submission should be original and non-plagiarised. They should exhibit originality in thought, critical evaluation, and careful interpretations. Submission of a paper shall be taken to imply that it is an unpublished work and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li>The author(s) must send in the cover letter in the body of the mail, which must contain all the relevant biographical details (Name of the author(s), their degrees, Designation, Name of College\/University\/Institution, Postal Address(es), Phone Number and E-mail ID). A separate attachment as a cover letter will not be entertained.<\/li>\n<li>The mail bearing the manuscript must indicate the category that the submission is intended for, i.e. Article\/ Essay\/ Case Comment\/ Book Review.<\/li>\n<li>Co-Authorship to a maximum of two members is allowed. However, co-authorship is not allowed in \u201cbook reviews\u201d and \u201ccase notes\/comments\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Editors\u2019 decision shall be final and binding. They reserve the sole rights to the publication of the selected articles in addition to, inter alia, any edits\/amends\/reproduction.<\/li>\n<li>The contributions presented to and accepted for publication and the copyrights therein shall be the intellectual property of the Journal Committee, Dr. RMLNLU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to submit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The submissions may be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:cmet.rmlnlu@gmail.com\">cmet.rmlnlu@gmail.com<\/a>in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The attached submission in the email, i.e., the name of the document must be the name(s) of the author(s).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The subject title for the mail must be \u2018Article\/Essay\/Case Comment\/Book Review for Volume VII\u2019.<\/strong> Please note that only one submission per author or a team of co-authors is permissible. In case of more than one submission, only the one received first would be considered for review.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Submission Deadline and Review<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The deadline for submission of the manuscript is <strong>22nd\u00a0January 2020, before 11:59 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There shall be a rigorous review process comprising 3 stages and spanning 45 days.
