About the Institution<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law is a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education. The first vice-chancellor of the University was Professor (Dr.) Gurjit Singh.<\/p>\n

The Editorial Board of the RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR) invites blog posts from legal practitioners, academicians, research fellows, undergraduate students, postgraduate students etc. for the RFMLR Sidebar.<\/p>\n

About the Review<\/strong><\/p>\n

RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review was set up as an academic initiative to promote research and debate in areas of financial and economic law.<\/p>\n

The Review looks to understand the legal paradigm prevalent in India and South East Asia and how it affects finance and other cross border mercantile activities.<\/p>\n

The Journal aims at giving an opportunity to legal academia, research scholars, legal practitioners and students to publish work that is at the cutting edge of doctrinal, theoretical, and empirical research.<\/p>\n

About the Corporate Governance series<\/strong><\/p>\n

RFMLR is initiating a discourse on Corporate Governance through the medium of blogs. The aim is to analyse the theme vis-\u00e0-vis recent and projected policy changes. A few suggested (not exhaustive) sub-themes are:<\/p>\n

  1. Corporate Governance and Public Sector Banks<\/li>\n
  2. The Infosys Turmoil<\/li>\n
  3. Corporate Governance in Core Investment Companies<\/li>\n
  4. Diversity on Corporate Boards<\/li>\n
  5. Profitability and Corporate Governance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Submission Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors.<\/p>\n

    2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12 and Spacing 1.5.<\/p>\n

    3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Submission should contain endnotes instead of footnotes. All endnotes shall be in Times New Roman, font size 10 and single-spaced.<\/p>\n

    4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Word Limit for each submission is between 1000 to 1300 words (exclusive of Endnotes).<\/p>\n

    5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The submission should be accompanied with a covering letter specifying the author\u2019s name, designation, institute, contact number and e-mail for future reference.<\/p>\n

    6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All entries should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.<\/p>\n

    7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All selected entries will be published on the RFMLR Sidebar at\u00a0rfmlr.com<\/a><\/p>\n

    8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A certificate of appreciation will be given to authors who have a minimum of 3 entries published on the sidebar.<\/p>\n

    9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The entries must be original, unpublished and an outcome of the author\u2019s own efforts.\u00a0The plagiarism limit is 12%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    10)\u00a0\u00a0The authors by submitting their entry would be deemed to have divested the copyright to RFMLR. However, all moral rights shall remain with the author(s).<\/p>\n

    Citation Format<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Bluebook, A Uniform System of Citation<\/em>\u00a0(20th Ed.) is to be followed for citation. All footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, single-spacing and justified text.<\/p>\n

    Blogs are also invited on topics other than Corporate Governance, provided they fall within the contours of Financial and Mercantile Law.<\/p>\n
