{"id":219801,"date":"2019-09-21T12:00:19","date_gmt":"2019-09-21T06:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=219801"},"modified":"2019-09-23T08:28:46","modified_gmt":"2019-09-23T02:58:46","slug":"a-non-resident-indian-shall-be-entitled-to-obtain-aadhaar-upon-his-arrival-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2019\/09\/21\/a-non-resident-indian-shall-be-entitled-to-obtain-aadhaar-upon-his-arrival-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"A Non Resident Indian shall be entitled to obtain &#8220;Aadhaar&#8221; upon his arrival in India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>S.O. 3425(E)\u2014<\/strong>In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Central Government hereby notifies that a Non Resident Indian, after his arrival in India, shall be entitled to obtain an Aadhaar number<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Explanation\u2014<\/strong>For the purposes of this notification, \u201cNon-Resident Indian\u201d means a person who is a citizen of India holding a valid Indian Passport but not a resident as defined under clause (v) of Section 2 of the said Act.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2.
