It is a bi-annual, double-blind student reviewed and edited the journal, focusing on an inter-disciplinary approach towards legal writing. The remit of the Review is not restricted to any particular field of law but is broad enough to include national as well as international legal and policy-related issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Nature of Submissions:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">The\u00a0<i>NLUJ Law Review<\/i>\u00a0invites\u00a0<b><i>original, unpublished<\/i><\/b>\u00a0manuscripts\u00a0from\u00a0all academicians, authors, legal professionals and students from India and abroad, under the following categories\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Long Articles (6000-8000 words, including footnotes)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">This category is designed to comprehensively deal with and provide a sustained analysis of a particular legal topic. It must analyse the current practice in the field, identify the lacunae therein, and provide constructive suggestions. Author(s) are also encouraged to write and submit analytical responses to earlier publications of the Review.<s><\/s><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">B.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Short Articles (3000-6000 words, including footnotes)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Papers in this category must undertake a comprehensive study of specific topics,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0providing a new perspective and critical insight on the subject.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Notes and Comments (1000-3000 words, including footnotes)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u2018Notes and Comments\u2019 are an important feature of the journal.\u00a0A note is a concise argument focusing on any recent legal controversy or debate. A comment is limited to the critical appraisal of recent\u00a0judicial decisions, new legislations, or policy reform proposals.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Submission Guidelines:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">A.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">General Instructions<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Long articles and short articles must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 200 words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Up to 2 co-authors are allowed for all categories, except Notes and Comments wherein co-authorship is not allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">All works must be original and unpublished, and not pending for review before any other journal. Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification for publication in the Review.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Submissions that exceed the word limit will not be accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Deadline for submissions is 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0August 2019, 11:59 p.m. IST.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">B.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Format<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">In order to ensure transparency in the blind review process, the name of the author or institutional affiliation must not be mentioned anywhere in the manuscript or its properties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">The main body of the manuscript should be in Garamond font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing and footnotes in Garamond font size 10, with 1.0 line spacing. All headings must have uniform formatting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Text and footnotes should conform to A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015) (\u201cThe Bluebook\u201d). Speaking footnotes are discouraged. Submissions with endnotes will be rejected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u00a8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-IN\">The first page of the manuscript should only contain the name of the paper followed by a 200 word abstract. The second page should contain a table of contents, and the main body of the manuscript must begin immediately thereafter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><span lang=\"EN-IN\">Submission through Online Form<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">All submissions must be made through the Online Form. PDF\/other formats\/hard copy submissions will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">EDITORIAL POLICY<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u2022 Permissions for subsequent publication\/ reprint and\/or derivative works must be obtained from NLUJ Law Review&#8217;s Editorial Team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-IN\">\u2022 NLUJ Law Review follows a comprehensive double blind review procedure.
