As reported by ANI, Rajya Sabha in today’s session has passed the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019.<\/p>\n

A bill to allow voluntary use of Aadhaar as proof of identity for opening bank accounts and getting mobile connections which were passed by Lok Sabha last week has today, i.e. 08-07-2019 been passed by Rajya Sabha<\/p>\n

The said bill will amend the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and further to amend the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.<\/strong><\/p>\n
