About the Journal<\/strong><\/p>\n

The RMLNLU Law Review is an annual peer-reviewed Journal published by the Journal Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow which seeks to provide numerous insights and views into contemporary legal issues and encourage conversation about the same. The RMLNLU Law Review runs parallel to the RMLNLU Law Journal on CMET (Communications, Media, Entertainment, and Technology).<\/p>\n

After having celebrated nine years of immense success and acclaim as a reputed Journal, we are pleased to announce the call for papers for Volume X of the RMLNLU Law Review.<\/p>\n

Call for Papers<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Journal accepts submissions from law students and professionals all over the country and abroad in the form of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Articles<\/strong>: 5000-7000 words<\/li>\n
  2. Essays<\/strong>: 4000-5000 words<\/li>\n
  3. Case notes\/comments<\/strong>: 2000-3000 words<\/li>\n
  4. Book Reviews<\/strong>: 2000-3000 words<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The submissions may be on any contemporary legal issue. The authors are expected to adhere to the prescribed word limit (excluding footnotes and abstract), as indicated above.<\/p>\n

    Each of these entries shall be required to conform to the set of guidelines that follow.<\/p>\n

    Submission Guidelines<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0The formatting shall be as per the following:<\/p>\n

    Content:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Font \u2013 Times New Roman<\/li>\n
    2. Font size \u2013 12 pts.<\/li>\n
    3. Line spacing \u2013 1.5<\/li>\n
    4. Margin \u2013 1\u201d from all sides<\/li>\n
    5. Alignment: Justified.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Footnotes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Font \u2013 Times New Roman<\/li>\n
      2. Font size \u2013 10 pts<\/li>\n
      3. Line Spacing \u2013 1.0<\/li>\n
      4. All the sources in the footnotes must be properly cited strictly in accordancewith the latest OSCOLA (4th edition) format. No endnotes or speakingfootnotes (descriptive footnotes) are allowed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        General Instructions:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • An abstract of about 250-300 words and 5 keywords should be mandatorily<\/strong> included in the same word document as a part of the submission.<\/li>\n
        • The title should be Bold, Underlined, in Capitals, Size 16, and Centre Aligned.<\/li>\n
        • Headings should be Bold, in Capitals, Size 14, and left aligned.<\/li>\n
        • The contents should in no way, directly or indirectly, indicate or reference the identity of the author(s).<\/li>\n
        • The submission should be original and non-plagiarised. They should exhibit originality in thought, critical evaluation, and careful interpretations. Submission of a paper shall be taken to imply that it is an unpublished work and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.<\/li>\n
        • The author(s) must send in the cover letter in the body of the mail, which must contain all the relevant biographical details (Name of the author(s), their degrees, Designation, Name of College\/University\/Institution, Postal Address, Phone Number and E-mail ID). A separate attachment as a cover letter will not be entertained.<\/li>\n
        • The mail bearing the manuscript must indicate the category that the submission is intended for, i.e. Article\/ Essay\/ Case Comment\/ Book Review.<\/li>\n
        • Co-Authorship to a maximum of two members is allowed. However, co-authorship is not allowed in \u201cbook reviews\u201d and \u201ccase notes\/comments\u201d.<\/li>\n
        • Editors\u2019 decision shall be final and binding. They reserve the sole rights to publication of the selected articles in addition to, inter alia, any edits\/amends\/ reproduction.<\/li>\n
        • The contributions presented to and accepted for publication and the copyrights there in shall be the intellectual property of the Journal Committee, RMLNLU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          How to submit?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

          The submissions may be emailed to lawreview.rmlnlu@gmail.com in Microsoft Word(.doc or .docx) format.The attached submission in the email, i.e., the name of the document must be thename(s) of the author(s).The subject title for the mail must be \u2018Article\/ Essay\/ Case Comment\/ Book Review forVolume X\u2019.Please note that only one submission per author or a team of co-authors is permissible.In case of more than one submission, only the one received first would be consideredfor review.<\/p>\n

          Submission Deadline and Review<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

          The deadline for submission of manuscript is 15 September 2019, before 11:59 pm.<\/p>\n

          There shall be a rigorous review process comprising 3 stages and spanning 45 days. The authors shall be intimated about the status of their manuscript at every stage.<\/p>\n
