More and Bharti Dangre, JJ. will pronounce the Judgment on Maratha Reservation on 27-03-2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Judgment was reserved after hearing the petitions on 26-03-2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In accordance with the amendment in Socially Economically Backward Class (SEBC) Act, 2018, 16% reservation was provided to the students belonging to the Maratha community for admissions to PG Courses in medical colleges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court had rejected a plea against the state government\u2019s ordinance to retain 16% reservation for Marathas under the socially and educationally backward classes (SEBC) category
