As reported by media, Proposed Law on Extradition in respect to allowing extraditions to China has been suspended by Hong Kong after massive protests conducted in the past week.<\/p>\n

“Bill, calling for\u00a0Hong Kong to make legal amendments to allow accused criminals to be extradited to jurisdictions with which it has no such arrangement \u2014 including China \u2014 has led to widespread opposition in the semi-autonomous Chinese territory.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Lam said at a press conference:\u00a0“The legislative process would be halted without any deadline.”<\/em><\/p>\n
