{"id":214661,"date":"2019-05-14T16:30:26","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T11:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=214661"},"modified":"2019-05-14T15:52:20","modified_gmt":"2019-05-14T10:22:20","slug":"bio-medical-waste-management-second-amendment-rules-2019-notified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2019\/05\/14\/bio-medical-waste-management-second-amendment-rules-2019-notified\/","title":{"rendered":"Bio-Medical Waste Management (Second Amendment) Rules, 2019 &#8212; Notified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>G.S.R. 360(E)\u2014<\/strong>In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 6, 8 and 25 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with sub-rule (4) of Rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government, after having dispensed with the requirement of notice under clause (a) of sub-rule (3) of Rule 5 of the said rule in public interest, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, namely:\u2014<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. (1) These rules may be called the <strong>Bio-Medical Waste Management (Second Amendment) Rules, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. In the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in Rule 4, in clause (d), the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely:-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cExplanation.- For removal of doubts, it is hereby clarified that the expression \u201cChlorinated plastic bags\u201d shall not include urine bags, effluent bags, abdominal bags and chest drainage bags.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3.
