2019<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>No. 9 of 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Promulgated by the President in-the-Seventieth Year of the Republic of India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An Ordinance to amend the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and further to amend the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 and the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">WHEREAS the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was passed by the House of the People on the 4th\u00a0day of January, 2019 and is pending in the Council of States;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AND WHEREAS Parliament is not in session\u00a0and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 123 of the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">PART I<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">PRELIMINARY<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">(1) This Ordinance may be called the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019.<br \/>\n(2) It shall come into force at once.<\/p>\n<hr
