Government has requested all private Satellite TV channels to adhere to the guidelines issued from time to time on the coverage of terror attacks.<\/p>\n

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued advisories to broadcast content in strict adherence to\u00a0Programme and Advertising Code\u00a0<\/strong>as prescribed in the\u00a0Cable Television Networks (Regulations) Act, 1995.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In light of the recent incident, TV channels are adviced to be particularly cautious in regard to the content which:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. is likely to encourage or incite violence or contains anything against maintenance of law and order or which promotes anti-national attitude;<\/li>\n
  2. Contains anything affecting the integrity of nation: and ensure that no such content is telecast which violative of these codes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All private satellite TV channels are requested to ensure strict compliance of the above.<\/p>\n
