G.S.R. 108(E)\u2014\u00a0<\/strong>In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), read with clauses (i), (j), (jj), (jjj) and (k) of sub-section (2) of Section 73 of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 (15 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Prevention of Money- laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005, namely:\u2014<\/p>\n

1. (1) These rules may be called the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Amendment Rules, 2019.<\/p>\n

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n

2. In the Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Rules, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 2, in sub-rule (1),-<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. (i) \u00a0for clause (aaa), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-\u2018(aaa) \u201cAadhaar number\u201d shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (a) of Section 2 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016);\u2019<\/li>\n
  2. (ii) \u00a0clauses (aac) and (aad) shall be omitted;<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    (iii) \u00a0in clause (d),<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. (a) \u00a0after the words \u201cdriving licence,\u201d, the words \u201cproof of possession of Aadhaar number\u201d shall be inserted;<\/li>\n
    2. (b) \u00a0after the third proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-\u201cProvided also that where the client submits his proof of possession of Aadhaar number as an officially valid document, he may submit it in such form as are issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India;\u201dPlease refer the link for detailed notification:<\/strong> NOTIFICATION<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
