{"id":208717,"date":"2019-01-24T22:24:00","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T16:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=208717"},"modified":"2019-01-24T22:49:53","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T17:19:53","slug":"nuals-parliamentary-debate-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2019\/01\/24\/nuals-parliamentary-debate-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"NUALS Parliamentary Debate 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The Debating Society of\u00a0<strong>T<\/strong>he National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, in collaboration with the\u00a0Centre for Competition Law and Policy, and the\u00a0Centre for Sports Law, is delighted to officially invite you to the 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of the NUALS Parliamentary Debate, scheduled for February 22-24, 2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Provisional registration for the tournament is now\u00a0<strong>OPEN!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The NUALS Parliamentary Debate 2019 would mainly feature motions and topics in relation with Competition Law and Policy and Sports Law, as well as other general topics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Both, the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, and the Centre for Sports Law, have been a pillar of strength for the organising committee, dedicating themselves to the success of this edition of the NUALS PD. The previous edition of our PD have featured collaborations between the NUALS Debating Society, and the Centre for Competition Law and Policy. This year, being joined by the Centre for Sports Law, we have received immeasurable support, and they will strive alongside us to ensure that you have a great debate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Let us make this easy for you:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Dates of the Tournament:\u00a0<\/strong>February 22-24, 2019<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Venue:\u00a0<\/strong>National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, Kerala, India<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Format:\u00a0<\/strong>British Parliamentary<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Nature:\u00a0<\/strong>Inter Varsity (Institutional cross teams are allowed)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Team Cap:\u00a0<\/strong>32 teams, with n+1 rule for adjudicators preferred, first come first serve<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Institutional Cap:\u00a0<\/strong>4 teams<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Registration Fee Per Person:\u00a0<\/strong>?2000 (With Accommodation) or ?1500 (Without Accommodation)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Independent Adjudicators are allowed<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Last Date for Provisional Registration:\u00a0<\/strong>January 27, 2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Registration of teams will commence from January 30, 2019, upon which the registering teams will have to pay the registration amount.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The prize money for the tournament is well in excess of INR One Lakh.
