{"id":206291,"date":"2018-12-05T16:40:53","date_gmt":"2018-12-05T11:10:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=206291"},"modified":"2018-12-28T12:24:40","modified_gmt":"2018-12-28T06:54:40","slug":"families-cannot-be-removed-from-bpl-list-on-ground-of-admitting-their-children-in-private-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2018\/12\/05\/families-cannot-be-removed-from-bpl-list-on-ground-of-admitting-their-children-in-private-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Families cannot be removed from BPL list on ground of admitting their children in private school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Himachal Pradesh High Court:<\/strong> A Division Bench comprising of Sanjay Karol, ACJ and Ajay Mohan Goel, J. declared that studying in private school cannot be a ground to remove such category from the BPL list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A letter petitioned to the Court has requested to delete those families whose children were studying in private schools from the list of BPL families.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To look into the matter the Court appointed Abhilasha Kaundal as amicus curiae and after going through the matter it was of the view that there was no such resolution as alleged by the petitioner passed by the respondent. Further names of certain families were excluded and included in the list of BPL category by the concerned authority strictly following the procedure enshrined in the relevant rules in this regard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly, the matter was disposed of.
