Supreme Court will deliver its judgment today in regard to the review petitions filed challenging the Apex Court\u2019s Judgment in Mukesh v. State (NCT of Delhi)<\/strong><\/em>, (2017) 6 SCC 1<\/a>, decided on 05-05-2017.<\/p>\n

In the spine-chilling gangrape and murder case of a 23-year old girl that took place on December 16, 2012, in which the main accused Ram Singh had committed suicide in the Tihar Jail, Delhi. The other convict’s involved in the incident consisted of a juvenile amongst them who was sentenced to 3 years at a reform home and the remaining four were sentenced to death by the Additional Sessions Judge. Further, the Trial Court awarded capital punishment to the accused’s considering the gruesome manner in which the offence was committed and the Delhi High Court had upheld the decision of the Trial Court, which further led to the appeal in the Supreme Court. Though amongst the four death row convict’s only three had filed the review petition, for which the Apex court would deliver its judgment today.<\/p>\n
