Chief Justice Dipak Misra administered the oath of office in the presence of the other Judges. <span class=\"txt1\"><span class=\"hsummary mCustomScrollbar _mCS_1\">She is the first woman advocate to be directly appointed as a SC Judge. As<\/span><\/span><span class=\"txt1\"><span class=\"txt1\"><span class=\"hsummary mCustomScrollbar _mCS_1\"> a prominent Senior Advocate, she has dealt with several matters of constitutional importance, and<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"txt1\"><span class=\"hsummary mCustomScrollbar _mCS_1\"> was one of the members of the Vishakha Committee on Sexual Harassment at Workplace.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Notification<\/strong><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of Article 124 of the Constitution of India, appointed Ms. Indu Malhotra, to be a Judge of the Supreme Court of India with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Ministry of Law and Justice<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Advocate Ms Indu Malhotra was sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court today.
