The Centre for Research in Criminal Justice, Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai in association with International Justice Mission (IJM) is organising a one-day workshop on ‘Transnational Crimes with Special Focus on Human Trafficking\u00a0on\u00a020th March 2018\u00a0from\u00a010:00 am\u00a0onwards at MNLU Mumbai campus.<\/p>\n

T<\/strong>HE<\/strong>M<\/strong>E<\/strong>S OF THE <\/strong>W<\/strong>ORKSHOP<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The deliberation upon the extra-territorial or trans-national nature of the crimes like cross- border terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking, arms trafficking smuggling, money laundering among others.<\/li>\n
  2. The propelling elements for the expedient growth of these crimes like globalization, socio-economic inequality, intolerance and others may be explored.<\/li>\n
  3. The thorough examination of the suppressive laws on human trafficking at both international and domestic levels will form the focal theme of the workshop.<\/li>\n
  4. The practical difficulties in reaching the uniformity by states for instance in defining a human trafficking, in specifying punitive relief, delayed ratification, victim rehabilitation may be identified.<\/li>\n
  5. The proper\u00a0 \u00a0conceptualization\u00a0 \u00a0of\u00a0 \u00a0human\u00a0 \u00a0trafficking, structuring\/modification of the existing domestic laws and their enforcement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
