As reported by the Times of India<\/em>, former Chief Minister of Bihar\u00a0Lalu Prasad\u00a0Yadav was today sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and fined Rs 10 lakh by a Special CBI Court in the\u00a0second fodder scam case (<\/span>involving the embezzlement of more than\u00a0Rs.<\/span>\u00a089 lakh in government funds)\u00a0 in which he was found guilty.\u00a0Lalu was fined Rs 5 lakh in each of two cases, failure to pay would lead to a six-month extension to his term.<\/p>\n
