THE INDIAN FOREST (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2017<\/p>\n

Promulgated by the President in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India.<\/p>\n
An Ordinance further to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927.<\/p>\n
Whereas Parliament is not in session and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;<\/p>\n
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred, by clause (I) of Article 123 of the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:\u2014-<\/p>\n
1.(1) Short title and commencement.–<\/strong> This Ordinance may be called the Indian Forest (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017.<\/p>\n (2) It shall come into force at once.<\/p>\n 2.
