2017<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No. 6 of 2017<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Promulgated by the President in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An Ordinance further to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Whereas Parliament is not in session and the President is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred, by clause (I) of Article 123 of the Constitution, the President is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance:\u2014-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1.(1) <strong>Short title and commencement.&#8211;<\/strong> This Ordinance may be called the Indian Forest (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(2) It shall come into force at once.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. <strong>Amendment of Section 2 of Act\u00a016 of 1927.&#8211;<\/strong> In the Indian Forest Act, 1927, in Section 2, in clause (7), the word
