Through this conference\u00a0we will try to address the intricacies of current time, to identify the indigenous traits of the\u00a0Indian society, to landmark the intellectual developments of the postcolonial time and to\u00a0make a better academic understanding of the same among researchers, students and the\u00a0masses.<br \/>\n<strong>Proposed outcome of the conference-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To access the impact of colonialism.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To analyse the period of transformation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To trace the intricacies of contemporary India.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To identify the indigenous traits of the Indian society.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To landmark the intellectual developments of the Postcolonial Indian times.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To develop better understanding of Postcolonialism among researchers, students and\u00a0masses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Main Theme:<\/strong> Main\u00a0theme of this two days national conference \u201cPostcolonialism: Indian Response and\u00a0Transformation\u201d would be that Postcolonialism is not only an impassable and sprawling\u00a0concept indeed it is the current critical condition through which young nations like India has \u00a0been going through after decolonization. Colonialism, which was Eurocentric in its very\u00a0nature, brought enlightenment, modernity and industrialisation to the colonial societies and as\u00a0a repercussion stagnated the spontaneous growth of the aboriginal legal, historical and\u00a0cultural traditions of the indigenous. Not only that but the Incipience of the notion of\u00a0academics and the beginning of study of specified fields of knowledge are itself products of\u00a0colonial modernity and enlightenment. The Hegelian-Marxist understanding of History and\u00a0the Smithian economics evolved parallelly with colonialism and if said in Foucauldian\u00a0terminology, academic fields of anthropology and philology etc. emerged purely as byproducts\u00a0of colonial epistemology to imply, maintain and propagate power equations between\u00a0the coloniser and the colonised.<br \/>\nColonial form of knowledge not only procured Eurocentric academic understanding of the\u00a0European other but also promulgated huge and complex terminologies for the same. Now the\u00a0terms like native, aboriginal, local, indigenous which was used by the colonisers to denote the\u00a0colonies, bears specific meanings given by the colonisers in specified sociological and legal\u00a0context and are not identical to the post-colonial European other. It also created cultural political\u00a0intricacies and identity crisis for the prospective postcolonial societies.<br \/>\nIndependence to these societies proved to be more of a physical and political phenomenon\u00a0rather than a liberating force of their indigeneity.\u00a0Furthermore, colonies were very specific to its empirical manifestation and responses, in\u00a0ways of approach, resistance and retribution to colonization and foreign rule i.e. violence in\u00a0freedom struggle had been vocalised and justified by Frantz Fanon whereas in India Mahatma\u00a0Gandhi emphasized on ahimsa for the same. Likewise, after decolonisation peculiar political\u00a0equations and nationalistic patterns were unfolded into colonies.\u00a0How specific India has been into its postcolonial responses to the colonial rule, how much\u00a0aligned and consistent the aboriginal and post-colonial political, religious and economical\u00a0dimensions of the Indian indigenous are, till what extent the collective social memory,\u00a0aboriginal laws and native identities have been entangled and entwined by the foreign\u00a0elements of colonial rule, the incessant combat of the native and the foreign and the\u00a0postcolonial identity crisis are the important points to be focused in the main theme.<br \/>\n<strong>Sub-Themes:\u00a0<\/strong>To\u00a0be more precise and focused about the traits of \u201cPostcolonialism: Indian Response and\u00a0Transformation\u201d, the main theme is divided into four main sub-themes, covering the main\u00a0domains of postcolonial India-Postcolonialism: Perspectives from History and Literature,\u00a0Postcolonial Socio-Political Responses, the Post-Colonial Legality in India and Indian\u00a0Economic Transformation. Proposed topics under these sub-themes are as mentioned below-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1.
