Supreme Court of United States:<\/strong> The US Supreme Court by a 2-1 majority granted a partial victory to the Executive as it lifted important elements of lower court orders blocking the Trump\u2019s controversial travel ban targeting visa applicants from six Muslim-majority countries.<\/p>\n

These cases involve challenges to Executive Order No. 13780, protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States. The Court held that the 90 day ban on visitors from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, along with a 120 day suspension of the US refugee resettlement program, could be only enforced against those who lack a \u201ccredible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States\u201d.<\/p>\n

This order is maintains the balance between the individual rights and the national security. The Court noted that \u201cDenying entry to foreign nationals abroad who have no connection to the United States at all will not burden any American party\u201d and therefore partial ban is justified in light of national security.<\/p>\n

Also, the court agreed to hear arguments on the legality of Trump\u2019s controversial order in the autumn, setting up a major test of Trump\u2019s executive authority later in the year. [Trump v.
