The matter will next be heard on 11.07.2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Court was hearing the petition filed by a Hyderabad based NGO that contended that the Notification was discriminatory and unconstitutional as it deprived the\u00a0cattle traders of\u00a0their right to livelihood and freedom of conscience and religion. The Centre, however, claimed that intention behind the notification was to have a regulatory regime on cattle trade across the country. Earlier, the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.scconline.com\/post\/2017\/05\/30\/madras-hc-stays-notification-on-sale-of-cattle-for-slaughter\/\">Madras High Court<\/a> had imposed stay upon the
