The Law and Technology Society of the National Law School of India University is hosting the annual flagship conference, Consilience, on the theme of Artificial Intelligence and the Law on May 20th, 2017.\u00a0The committee is engaged in promoting awareness and interest in the field of law and technology.<\/p>\n
Consilience is well-known for its high quality of academic and policy-based discussions and in the past, the Conference has been graced by the presence of eminent persons such as \u2013<\/p>\n

Previous editions of Consilience have addressed important themes such as \u2018Legal Issues Pertaining to Cloud Computing\u2019, \u2018Legal Aspects of Business Process Outsourcing\u2019, \u2018Biotechnology and the Law\u2019, \u2018Internet Intermediary Liability in India\u2019, \u2018Free\/Open Source Software (FOSS)\u2019, \u2018Data Protection and Cyber Security in India\u2019, ‘Net Neutrality in India’ and ‘Open Access and IP\u2019.<\/p>\n
Consilience 2017 will have three sessions. The first shall focus on a general introduction to Artificial Intelligence, along with scientific developments that have been made in the field. The second session shall be concerned with the applicative functions of AI, particularly in the legal field.
