Supreme Court<\/strong>: The vacation bench of L. Nageswara Rao and Navin Sinha, JJ will not be taking up the Aadhaar matter today. The matter was notified to be deleted from today’s list but\u00a0it wasn’t specified when would it be taken up next.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on 09.05.2017, Senior Advocate Shyam Divan had urged the Court that\u00a0 some urgent orders are required on the interim prayers made by the petitioners, as enrollment under Aadhaar in respect of certain schemes is required by 30th June, 2017 . He said that as per the orders dated August 11, 2015 passed in K.S. Puttaswamy v. UOI, (2015) 8 SCC 735<\/a>\u00a0wherein the Court observed that having regard to the importance of the matter, it is desirable that the matters be heard at the earliest.<\/p>\n

Hence, the Court tagged the petition filed by Child rights activist Shantha Sinha along with the Aadhaar matters pending before the Court and listed the matter to be taken up on 17.05.2017.
