NOTIFICATION \u00a0[26th April, 2017]<\/strong><\/p>\n

G.S.R. 410(E).\u2014<\/strong>In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 24 of the Passports Act, 1967 (15 of 1967), the\u00a0Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Passport Rules, 1980, namely:\u2014
\n1. Short title and commencement:\u2014<\/strong>
\n(i) These rules may be called the Passport (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
\n(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
\n2. In the Passport Rules, 1980 (herein after referred to as the said rules), in Schedule III, in Section V, in Annexure\u00a0\u2018H\u2019, the following \u201cNote\u201d shall be inserted, namely:<\/p>\n

\u201cNote :<\/strong> The Prior Intimation Letter (under this Annexure) shall be accepted by the Passport Authority for processing the\u00a0passport application if the same bears the signature and seal of the employer of the applicant acknowledging its receipt.\u201d<\/p>\n
