Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India on June 22, 2021 proposed amendments to Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and put out a draft of the proposals in the public domain for consultations with stakeholders.

In light of this, the Chair for Consumer Law at National Law University Delhi felt it was necessary for the academia to consider the various provisions and new concepts introduced in the new law critically.
