The Team comprising of Shawaiz Nisar, Wamic Wasim Nargal and Kartikaya Gautam representing Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab has emerged as the Winner of the prestigious 6th Symbiosis International Criminal Trial Advocacy [SICTA], 2021 held between 7th-9th May, organised by Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

The team also won the Best Memorial award. Wamic Wasim Nargal bagged the Best Student Advocate award in the finals and the Second-Best Student Advocate award overall.

The competition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice J. Chelameswar, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India. Hon’ble Justice Sandeep Mehta, Judge, High Court of Rajasthan was the Chief Guest in the valedictory ceremony and the finals were adjudged by an eminent panel of judges including Mr. Aniruddha Rajput, Member of the United Nations International Law Committee, Prof. TR Subramanya, Dean, School of Legal Studies, CMR University and Dr. Umesh Kadam, Former Regional Legal Advisor, International Committee of Red Cross.
