Daksha Fellowship is delighted to bring you #DakshaSeries, a series of conversations with leading voices on themes significant to law and legal education. Registrations are open for our first edition on Data, Rights and Risks lined up between 11 May and 15 May, 2020.

The data discourse hasn’t been more relevant at a time before this pandemic. While data in the hands of Governments and Corporations may help solve some on-ground problems, questions on privacy, security, surveillance and platform monopolization remain. In parallel, data is significantly shaping the legal and policy domain. As the value of data in our social and economic ordering continues to grow, and the technology to analyse it continues to evolve, there will be a requirement for lawyers who understand data science. These trends and issues surely warrant reflection. This inaugural edition of #DakshaSeries therefore presents a deeper understanding of data and data protection. Below is a schedule of events for the week, with the registration link:
