The 2nd edition of the NLIU-Link Legal National Client Counseling Competition proposed to be held from the 6th- 8th September 2019 at National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

The Competition is being organized in furtherance of our long-term collaboration with Link Legal – India Law Services, which was recently recognized as one of the ‘Best Brands’ at the Economic Times – Best Brands summit 2019. Together with the esteemed law firm, the Competition will be a memorable experience for every participant, in terms of quality and practical aspects of the legal profession. The fundamental aim of this competition is to develop the counseling functions of a lawyer in a holistic manner, by providing a unique opportunity to have a deep insight into the behavioral aspects of counseling.

National Law Institute University, Bhopal believes that Client Counseling has become an integral part of legal education in India and across the world. Client counseling requires that lawyer assist the client in the way he/she needs rather than the lawyer taking any decisions on behalf of the client. Counseling is all about giving such information which a client would like to know regarding his legal problem/case. In order to satiate the client, a lawyer is expected to have excellent listening and advisory skills required to conduct a successful client interview.

National Law Institute University, Bhopal is known for its impeccable administration of legal competitions across various law schools. In 2019, we again promise to provide you an enthralling experience for everyone involved with us. In addition to this, the country’s finest adjudicators and judges shall be present for the preliminary and advanced rounds of the competition by which we hope to make this edition bigger and better.

The Competition will be held at NLIU, Bhopal campus.

Friday, September 6 to Sunday, September 8, 2019.

Method of Registration
The colleges have to register themselves with us, provisionally first by sending in an email to our official id which is mca@nliu.ac.in. Please note that only 20 teams will be selected on ‘first come, first serve’ basis. A maximum of two applications from each institution will be accepted.

Schedule

  • Period of Registration: June 28 to July 20.
  • Release of Pools and Problems: August 7.
  • Rounds: September 6 to September 8.
