Distinctive Positioning for the Future Librarians: The panel of leaders shares how they are dealing with changes in the world: their strategies, practices and plans for the future. This panel session will involve a free-flowing discussion that may cover a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: professional identity, leadership outside of a management role, the role of leadership and/or mentorship on one’s career trajectory, re-skilling, (re)engagement with the profession, reinvention, barriers and strategies, the question of self-determination within the confines of an organization, and how to push from the middle. Audience may get a quantum of time for interaction and discussion.
