As reported by the Times of India, former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav was today sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and fined Rs 10 lakh by a Special CBI Court in the second fodder scam case (involving the embezzlement of more than Rs. 89 lakh in government funds)  in which he was found guilty. Lalu was fined Rs 5 lakh in each of two cases, failure to pay would lead to a six-month extension to his term.
